Portrait of a Life
Lithograph10"x13"
Time is often characterized as a straight line with a beginning and end. This piece explores the journey through time as being full of unique twists, compressions, extensions, and changes of direction that define each person. A single life is illustrated as a white strand highlighted among other interwoven black lines. Each mark in this print was made with threads pulled from a previously woven piece of fabric to evoke the concept.
